This seems potentially huge since it seems to be related to what Fitzpatrick's been working on. It won't just be Google then. This will include everyone who has already pledged support and with Google's name behind it the chances of it spreading to many sites is quite good. Defintely something we should keep an eye on. If we're at the early stages of this we can potentially use it to our advantage in build a user base.
Yea... I think getting in on 'big' things early is something we have to keep our eye out for. Lots of people were able to take advantage of Facebook before they realized they were too open with the invites etc.
Note: Myspace, Hi5, Orkut & Tagged all plan on opening up their platforms as a reaction (I hear this from very reliable sources)
